A global design firm whose London office didn’t look like one. The space felt generic, where it should have felt considered, and it wasn’t giving the team the variety of environments they needed to work well.
The refurbishment gave them a reception and communal space they could be proud of — somewhere warm enough for clients, flexible enough for collaboration, and specific enough to say something about who IDEO are.
The entrance is where it’s said most clearly: the prominent yellow bike rack tells every visitor immediately what this company values. Good design makes those statements without having to spell them out.
