CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
“Rachel supported us with an office renovation project and right from the start we were impressed with her knowledge, passion and attention to detail. She helped us turn a pretty drab office into a colourful place where people wanted to come to work post-COVID. Rachel was a pleasure to work with and I’d recommend her to anyone.”

Yodomo
LOCATION
Hackney Wick
SCOPE
Retail and workshop fit out
APPROACH
Circular design and reuse
Yodomo needed a space that could switch between retail and workshop use without a fixed layout for total flexibility.
The design gives them exactly that: everything moves, everything can be reconfigured and the environment works equally well for a customer browsing textile remnants and a group of participants in a making workshop.
Equally important was doing this without buying new. The budget was tight and the values were clear: everything reused where possible, nothing wasted. The result reflects what Yodomo stands for, which is the best kind of brief to work with.

Our Future Health came to me at a point when, like so many companies, they were struggling to bring people back to the office post-Covid. They had taken a new space at The Office Group in London, but it was a plain white box — uninspiring for their team and hardly the impression they wanted to give visiting clients.
My brief was to create a space that was warm, practical, and versatile enough to flex with their needs. The starting point was the layout: by switching to smaller desks, I was able to increase total capacity to 120 across the two office zones, giving them real room to grow back into collaborative working without feeling cramped or corporate.
To create the right atmosphere, I rethought the entire colour and materials palette — moving away from the clinical white towards a softer, more natural scheme. Camira hemlock and nettle textiles were used for the upholstery, and a lush array of real plants, installed and maintained by Lease a Leaf, brought the biophilic element to life. An uplifting colour scheme of peach, lemon and soft sunrise-inspired oranges tied it all together and gave the space a warmth that a white box simply can't offer.
Practically, the design was built around flexibility: sit-stand desks, phone booths for private calls, and a fully modular approach throughout. That last detail matters beyond the day-to-day — it means that when Our Future Health are ready to move on, they can do so quickly and without waste, taking the fit-out with them rather than leaving it behind.
The result is a space people genuinely want to come to — which, for a business trying to rekindle in-person working, is exactly the point.
